ရန်ကုန်တိုင်းခုံသမာဓိအဖွဲ့ရဲ့ အမိန့်ကို ကျေနပ်မှုမရှိတာကြောင့် ဒီကနေ့ ဩဂုတ်လ ၈ ရက်မှာ PMG အမျိုးသမီး အလုပ်သမား(၃၈)ဦး လုပ်ငန်းခွင်အတွင်း စတင် သပိတ်မှောက် နေတယ်လို့သိရပါတယ်။
ကိုဗစ်ကာလအတွင်း အလုပ် မလုပ်ရတဲ့ အကြောင်းပြချက်နဲ့ လစာရဲ့ ၁၀ ရာခိုင်နှုန်း ရက်မှန်ကြေးကို PMG ကုမ္ပဏီဘက်က ဖြတ်တောက်ခဲ့တာဖြစ်ပြီး အဲဒီဖြတ်ထောက်ထားတဲ့ ရက်ကမှန်ကြေးတွေကို ပြန်လည်ရရှိဖို့ ဒီကနေ့ မနံက် (၈)နာရီက စတင်ပြီး PMG ပုလင်းဆေးဌာန က အမျိုးသမီး အလုပ်သမားတွေက သပိတ်မှောက် တောင်းဆို နေကြတာဖြစ်ပါတယ်။
PMG အရက် ဌာန မှ ဝန်ထမ်းတွေကို တောင်းဆိုမှူကို ခုံသမာဓိကောင်စီက ပယ်ချ ခဲ့တာကြောင့် အခုလို လုပ်ငန်းခွင်အတွင်း အလုပ် မလုပ်ဘဲ သပိတ်မှောက်တောင်းဆိုနေကြတာလို့လည်း သပိတ်မှာ ပါဝင်နေတဲ့ အလုပ်သမားတွေက ပြောပါတယ်။
PMG ကုမ္ပဏီအနေနဲ့ အလုပ်သမားအခွင့်အရေး ချိုးဖောက်ထားတာ၊ သမဂ္ဂခေါင်းဆောင်တွေကို အလုပ်ထုတ် တာစတဲ့ အလုပ်သမားအခွင့်အရေး ချိုးဖောက်တဲ့ ဖြစ်စဉ်ရှိခဲ့ပြီး ဒီဖြစ်စဉ်တွေကို PMG ဒါရိုက်တာအဖွဲ့မှ မသိရှိဘဲ ချိုးဖောက် ခဲ့တာဆိုပါက ဂုဏ်သိက္ခာရှိတဲ့လုပ်ငန်းရှင်အဖြစ် ရပ်တည်ပြဖို့အတွက် အလုပ်သမားတွေရဲ့ တောင်းဆို မှုကို အမြန်ဆုံး လိုက်လျောပေးဖို့ မျှော်လင့်ထားတယ်လို့ PMG ပုလင်းဆေးဌာနက အလုပ်သမားတွေက ပြောပါတယ်။
သပိတ်မှောက်တောင်းဆိုနေတဲ့ အလုပ်သမားတွေဟာ အမျိုးသမီး (၃၈)ဦးတည်းဆိုပေမဲ့ ဒီတောင်းဆိုမှုနောက်မှာ အခွင့်အရေးရရှိမယ့် အလုပ်သမား ထောင်ချီပြီး ရှိနေမှာလို့လည်း ပြောကြားထားပါတယ်။
PMG female workers launched a strike within their workplace

Due to not being content with the decree of the arbitration body of the Yangon region government, (38) female workers from PMG launched a strike within their workplace on 8th of August..
The PMG company cut off attendance bonuses which were worth 10 percent of the workers’ wage with the reason of halting production during the pandemic. These female workers are making a call through the strike since the morning of August 8th, in order to regain their attendance bonuses back.
The striking workers say that this strike is also attributed to the denial of PMG distillery workers’ petition by the arbitration body.
PMG company has a track record of violating basic labour rights, firing union leaders and much more. However, workers from the bottle cleansing department hope that if these violations are done without the knowledge of the company's directors team, then, to maintain their status as ethical businessmen, they would not be hesitant to make any concessions.
Although there are only (38) female workers participating in this strike, if their appeal is to be conceded, thousands of workers will benefit from it.
