Both female and male workers of Tianjin Fashion Milestone factory which locates at Seik Kan Thar Street, Shwe Lin Ban Industrial Zone, Hlaing Thar Yar Township, Yangon said that the factory is taking the picture of workers who tried to use toilet as defendants.
“They told the securities to take the pictures even inside the toilet and inspect us every day as the defendants. The state new laws that are not agreed in the EC contract,” said the worker.
The factory is manufacturing Sinsay and VERO MODA brand fabric with more than 1,000 workers and owned by a Chinese national. There is no HR in the factory but instead the GM and COC are forcing the workers in various ways such as asking the impossible fabrics and demoted and intimidate those who can’t finish.
“The current political situations are bad and the factory is forcing overtime which would makes us unavailable to work other days if we refuse once. The WCC can’t help regarding calling overtime until 19:00, as the factory don’t accept their requests,” they said.
The workers from Tianjin Fashion Milestone also said that the cavity supers and leaders are verbally abusing and the GM does not resolve but instead send them notices and intimidate them.
