Thai authorities plan to deport Burmese youth back to Myanmar for making noise

Due to the complaints by local residents, Thai authorities are planning to arrest 40 young Burmese youths and deport them back to Myanmar, according to a person working on Thai-based labor issues.

“There were no such eviction before but only actions. But this times it seems like they are making noise with group. The neighborhood may complaint to the authorizes for making such noises on their soil and they may realize they are not tourists. Eviction is better than sentence. The sentence is 1 month and the fine is 5,000 THB with disturbance section.

The arrested Burmese youths entered Thailand from No(1) friendship bridge from April 6 to 8 with a temporary stay ticket and rent a house at Yuan Pho Ngan village, Mae Sai, Chiang Rai District. The Thai people from the neighborhood complaint to the authorities for making noise and the authorities are planning them to send back to Myanmar.

Mae Sot, Ranong, Mae Sai, Surat Thani, Phuket, Mahar Chai are the places where Myanmar nationals reside most and the Myanmar nationals who are complaint for making noise such as opening sound box loudly, brawling after drinking and domestic disputes were detained for a few days in the jail but released after paying the fine but this is the fist time ever to send back to Myanmar.

The labor activists warn to Burmese youths in Thailand that they can be deported to Myanmar for making a single mistake.
