It is reported that a letter of instruction has been issued to regional offices in Korea not to recruit seasonal workers from Myanmar.

"The Ministry of Labor of the Military Council is also involved in the issue of seasonal workers. Signing an MOU to send seasonal workers, will indirectly recognize the military regime. That's why the Korean government is also careful," said a labor aid individual.

The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Myanmar announced again on December 8th that it is scamming if whether online or person to person recircuiting on regarding the plan to send seasonal workers from Myanmar.

The two governments of Korea and Myanmar are cooperating to send agriculture, manufacturing and construction workers. The Myanmar government previously did not allow the sending of seasonal workers, but after the military coup, the Ministry of Labor has been working to allow it.

Currently, there are scams spreading on social networking sites, saying that it will be able to go and work as a seasonal worker in Korea. The Ministry of Labor, under the Military Council, is working to send seasonal workers to Korea, according to the state-owned Myanmar Alin newspaper.
