Payment for remaining 11 lakh baht within two weeks to the Myanmar workers who died due to the collapse of the crane has been signed

Mutual agreement has reached and signed to pay remaining compensation of 1100,000 baht each within two weeks for the death of 6 Myanmar migrant workers due to the accidental collapse of the crane at the construction site of SKY Embassy (2) in La Yaung Chon Buri District, Thailand.

“WAG have handed 9 lakh baht cash to the family members of each Myanmar workers who died due to the accidental collapse of the crane at around 3:30 pm on March 29, 2024 at the SKY Embassy (2) construction side, in La Yaung Chon Buri District, Thailand which cause the lives of 6 Myanmar migrants and a Chinese national. Mutual agreement has been signed to pay the remaining 11 lakhs baht will be given within 2 weeks,” said WAG.

A crane collapse accident happened at around 3:30 pm at the SKY Embassy (2) construction side, in La Yaung Chon Buri District, Thailand on March 29, 2024 and cause the lives of 6 Myanmar migrants and a Chinese national who work officially in Thailand.

Regarding the incident, the workers demanded and protested as the factory did not agree to pay compensation for the workers who died and it was learned that a mutual settlement was reached with compensation of 1.6 Million baht for each of the workers. It is reported that the 13 workers who lost their limbs will continue to be investigated by the Pakan Sakhon office (Social Security) and compensation will be paid within two weeks.

It is also reported that the signing of the agreement by both sides for these negotiations was signed by all organizations, including the WAG group that assists these workers.
