Myanmar Yong Jia Garment Color Correction color painting business from Nawaday villa, Hlaing Thar Yar Township, Yangon reappointed 7 workers who are dismissed for not working overtime. The employer dismissed those 7 workers on February 20th and 21st due to not working overtime.

“The employer had to reappoint all 7 of them as they said they would return to workplace. The employer also provide the interim damages for the times when they are away from work,” said the supporters.

5 workers who explained that it is difficult to work overtime on February 20th when the workers are called overtime until 20:00 p.m. are dismissed and 2 more workers who are associated with them are dismissed again on February 21st.

According to the sources, the employer said they do not want the workers who don’t follow his orders and said the workers should apologize and give 50,000 kyats for fine if they want to be reappointed. And this month will be also given for only 20 days,” said the workers.

The dismissed workers and the employer negotiated again and got the resolvents to get back to the workplace and to give interim damages.
