It is said that the workers’ cut wages from Myanmar Jiale Fashion Co.,Ltd garment factory which located at No 44, Bamaw Atwin Wun Street, Hlaing Thar Yar are not yet paid although the Factory and Labour Law Inspection Department directed to.

The workers’ factory bonus was cut since March 2024 and the Hlaing Thar Yar western township Factory and Labour Law Inspection Department directed the factory on August 29, 2024 to pay before September 6, 2024. But the factory hasn’t yet paid until October.

The Factory and Labour Law Inspection Department investigated the factory on September 13 but the factory failed to take responsibility.

The department said they reported to superiors instead of taking actions on the factory which failed to follow the orders.

STUM said that this is a obvious violation of the law and the department is failing to take actions on the employer of the factory.

The Factory Bonus was concealed since 2024 March and workers lost 1,000 kyats per day for six months.

The factory which is owned by a Chinese national is manufacturing DUB and SHISKY apparels with around 500 workers.
