I would like to share some information about the Fala Fala factory located in Thar Du Kan Industrial Zone.

Sunday overtime wages are not paid immediately but are instead cleared on Saturday. Workers' rights are completely restricted, and everything is handled only in favor of the factory.

Workers are forced to work even when they express that they do not want to do overtime. On Sunday, March 30, workers did not want to come in, but they were still forced to do so. Those who did not come were threatened by supervisors not to show up on Monday either. This message was publicly announced to the entire factory in a recent meeting.

The factory shows no consideration for the workers. It's a one-sided arrangement — work if they say work, leave if they say leave, come if they say come. No one asks for the workers' opinions.

They also say that wage deductions will be made from the regular 30,000 kyats salary, without asking whether the workers agree or not.

As of now, the Thingyan holiday break schedule has not been announced. They only say that it will officially start on the 13th.

On March 29, drinking water was not provided inside the factory, and access to toilet water was also denied.

If there’s any issue from the workers’ side, we are told not to report to the HR department. Instead, we are told to only speak to the supervisors or assistant supervisors.

The factory is Myanmar Fala Fala Clothing Co., Ltd, located on Mya Road, Thar Du Kan Industrial Zone, Shwe Pyi Thar Township. There are around 2,000 workers currently producing sportswear, t-shirts, and skirts.
