Update: December 9, 2024 - The worker has reported that they have now received the salary they were entitled to.

I would like to file a complaint regarding an issue I experienced with the Rong Da Garment Factory, located in the Watayar Industrial Zone, Shwe Pyi Thar. I worked in the store department of the factory and recently submitted my resignation. However, when I went to take my salary on the 5th, I was informed that my salary had already been withdrawn by a person referred to as the “Supervisor.” This was done without my authorization or signature, claiming the amount was deducted to cover a supposed "debt."

Additionally, the factory’s security did not allow me to enter on the day I came to take my salary. I was told to come back the following day. While other workers who resigned were able to receive their full salaries, the workers who submitted resignation letter themselves who faced this issue.

To make matters worse, they forged my signature and withdrew the money without my knowledge or consent. This is completely unacceptable. They told to come back the following day but I have other commitments, and going back the next day was not feasible for me.

The factory refused to let me inside on the designated day and only told me to return later, causing me to stand for a long time under the hot sun. Despite my repeated inquiries, I still don’t know the exact amount of my salary.

When I called the factory to clarify the issue, they simply said that the money had already been withdrawn and deducted to cover "debts." Furthermore, they threatened me, saying I should be aware of my own situation.

I do not know the details of this so-called debt, nor was I ever informed of it. Forging my signature to withdraw my salary without my permission is highly inappropriate and unethical. Whatever the circumstances, I do not believe this kind of action is acceptable.
