A leader from Huabo Time garment factory in Ward 13, Pathein, Ayeyarwaddy division is berating and physically assaulting the labors, as from their report.

The labors said that they want that unruly leader to be taken actions.

“We witness that if she, Daw (…), the leader of cavity 17 form seamstress department came in, she always dresses down with swearing words, beat the back and throw with the cloths. Labors from her cavity always have to tear up and those who can’t take her words have resigned.  “

It is also noted that there is no action from the factory officials for the labors being castigated in workplace and disrupted of morals.

“We have a Labors’ Union but we can’t lean on them as it is the puppet union of the factory’s owner. We have to pay 200 MMK to the Union as member ship fee despite we are member or not, when we started to work here.”

The factory which has about 1000 labor power is owned by a PRC citizen and it is also known for manufacturing ZARA brands in the past.
