G&B garment factory dismiss the worker who is not get paid for overtime by accusing that they don’t work overtime

G&B Manufacturing (Myanmar) dismiss a worker for not working overtime while they don’t pay for it.

The factory locates at Mahuyar intersection, Thar Du Kan Industrial Zone, Yangon Region and manufacturing Atlas for men brand pants, according to Solidarity of Trade Unions, Myanmar (STUM).

The line super and all super dismiss the worker called Ko Ko Chit who works at the iron department because of not working overtime and they said that workers who don’t get the hourly rate must work overtime for free.

Ko Ko Chit started to work the G&B Manufacturing (Myanmar) since February 14 as a day labor who get paid monthly and the line super force him to work overtime for free until 8:00 pm at March 13 and the worker left the workplace due to some reasons.

STUM members said that the workers have to free right to choice weather to work overtime or not and forcing overtime and dismissing for not working overtime is breaking the labor law in act.
