Free speech and democratic rights are the most important things we lost

May Day Speech

Workers’ rights are losing and we can’t protect it and it's too far to improve. These should be like the mindset of the workers for May Day honoring the workers in the past who battled for 8 working hours a day and the beginning of May Day.

I don’t see the salaries will be increase, it is independence for now, it becomes a rate of market. Workers can go to the job that they prefer about the salary

The future of a powerful company or organization raise the salary of the stuffs is even quite far. I don’t see it yet. Even if I see there are things we have to do before.

The coup eliminate the democracy rights and freedom of expression. So we can’t do anymore to request or defend about the labor rights. Therefore, the violations increased including the salary.

Workers who migrate cost a lot too whether they go legally or not but can’t help because the commodity price is raising. They can’t live in Myanmar and certain things are pushing them to migrate. They can’t give to the brokers or the current fees for migration. But they have to do it any way if they are to migrate. So they choose illegal ways and their rights lost again furthermore.
