The Japanese Embassy in Myanmar announced on April 4 that consultation and advice services are available for those facing difficulties preparing to work in Japanese companies or planning to go as technical trainees due to the suspension of OWIC card issuance.
These consultation services are being provided in cooperation with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Myanmar-Japan Center (MJC). The consultation center will open on April 7 and will operate for a limited period.
“I’m feeling lost. Whatever it is, having such organizations to talk to is helpful,” said one individual who is trying to go work in Japan.
The consultation center will offer expert advice in areas such as labour-sending agencies, education, mental health care, and legal matters.
“We would prefer participants to come to the MJC in person, if possible, for the first session. However, online consultations will be available if in-person attendance is difficult,” the statement added.
The center will be open from Monday, April 7, 2025, to Friday, June 6, 2025. It will be closed during the Thingyan holiday, from Monday, April 14 to Monday, April 21.
The center’s hours are from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily. Advance registration is available through the following link: https://ee.kobotoolbox.org/vqupCdxP.
