An employee sued Ooredoo Myanmar for illegal dismiss

According to the Solidarity of Trade Unions, Myanmar (STUM), the organization which is helping the case said that the employee who is unsatisfied with being dismissed sued Ooredoo Myanmar Limited which situates at Kabaraye Phaya Road, Bahan Township, Yangon Region.

It is said that the employee complained to the Ministry of Labor for being dismissed without prior notice and legal entitlements. 

The stakeholders are negotiated 3 times with the joint team of Department of Labor and Department of Labor Relations, 2 times with Bahan Meditation team and 1 time with Department of Labor and a letter was issued to proceed in accordance with the law on June 17th after the all negotiations were not not reach a settlement.

Therefore, the lawsuit was filed in the Kamayut District Court with civil suit and the first trial has been scheduled for August 26th.
