Vicsong slipper factory exploited for more than 34 hours of overtime wages

Workers from Vicsong (Vicsong- Myanmar footwear Co.,Ltd) which locates near Hsin Phyu Kwin, Bago City Bypass road said that their overtime wages are exploited.

The workers said that they have to put finger prints four times per day at the afternoon when they came to work, at the lunch break, after the lunch and in the evening. The employe told them that they will be cut for 500 kyats if they miss finger print for one time via the Chinese woman.

“They cut not only the finger print fines but also many overtimes wages for more than 34 hours. We get paid only 8,400 kyats although we worked for more than 40 hours which means we only get paid for 6 hours. The finger print detector is also not working and they are cutting by saying that they don’t see the records,” the worker explained.

The workers from Vicsong (Vicsong- Myanmar footwear Co.,Ltd) says that they are seeking help regarding to this violations and we will upload further violations from Vicsong (Vicsong- Myanmar footwear Co.,Ltd) too.
