Parents who have son have worries due to the military service summons

Families who have adult boys from Yangon region are having concerns as the military summons for service and reached them out through the wardens.

The junta announced on 2024 February 1st that they will implement the people military service law. This raise the people insecurity followed by summons and forming military personal recircuiting committee.

“The warden said that my son have to serve and I am very worry. We don’t believe them and we can’t let our son go but we have no choice. We don’t know where to fled. My mom haven’t eaten since she heard that her grandson have to serve,” said a mother from Shwe Pyi Thar while crying.

The Junta announced that they will start to recircuit personal at May and men will be priorly recircuited.

“How can we trust them while they said they will take someone for a while for inquires and send the dead body back. They are recircuiting young men to send frond men. They have run out of human resources so that they give young people trouble, where we can inquire or ask if we get lost connection with our son,” said a mother who have a son from Mingalar Taung Nyunt.

Residents from Yangon said that men from age 18 to 35 would be summons according to the military service law and adult men and their families are having concerns.

Most townships in Yangon are starting to recircuiting and men are summoned by the quarter administrative office and the guardian or parent have to give the personal data if the individual isn’t there.

Many youths join the nearest revolutionaries and the migration rate is also increasing after the Junta announced the military service law.
